摘要
To investigate the impact of different shapes of wet particles on the pneumatic conveying efficiency and flow characteristics in pipeline elbow, it is essential to obtain internal structural information of the flow of wet particles with different shapes. To address this issue, this study employed a CFD-DEM-WEAR method to investigate the pneumatic conveying system of wet particles in a vertical-bend-horizontal pipeline and utilized the multi-sphere method to construct wet particles with varying sphericity. In a bend system with a diameter of 30mm and a bend radius of 45mm, the study delved into the effects of sphericity, particle moisture content, and inlet air velocity on the pneumatic conveying of non-spherical wet particles. It analyzed the flow states and characteristics of wet particles with different sphericity and moisture content under various conditions, examined the wear on the pipe wall caused by wet particles at the bend, and assessed the influence of inlet air velocity on the conveying efficiency of non-spherical wet particles in the pneumatic conveying process. The research revealed that as the sphericity of wet particles decreased, the wear on the inner wall of the pipeline deepened, and with an increase in moisture content, the conveying efficiency of wet particles gradually decreased during pneumatic conveying. Furthermore, the impact was most pronounced when wet particles reached the bend. Therefore, it is crucial to protect the bend section of the pipeline and control the particle shape and moisture content during operation. This study can assist in the development and design of transportation equipment for wet particle transport processes in industries such as chemical, pharmaceutical, food processing, and mining, thereby holding significant research significance for enhancing efficiency.
