摘要
Thermal management is indispensable across various domains, spanning from consumer electronics to transportation. The pursuit of efficient thermal management strategies is driven by the common objectives of safeguarding equipment, enhancing performance, ensuring stability, and optimizing energy consumption. In this context, boron nitride emerges as a promising candidate for enhancing the thermal management performance of composites owing to its superior thermal conductivity, electrical resistance, and dielectric properties. Despite the commercialization of some products incorporating boron nitride, challenges persist in precisely manipulating its alignment to meet specific thermal conductivity requirements, especially about both in-plane and out-of-plane thermal conductivity, as well as simultaneously achieving high elasticity and thermal conductivity. We explored the state-of-the-art methods for manipulating the alignment of boron nitride and adjusting its composition to fulfill these distinct requirements. Through a comprehensive analysis of existing research, we elucidate the potential avenues for advancing thermal management technologies by harnessing the unique properties of boron nitride.
