Abstract
Abstract : To achieve the established goals of "peak carbon emissions and carbon neutrality", the high-energy-consumption steel industry is making every effort to promote carbon reduction. Sintering of iron ore, as an important process in steel production, faces challenges such as high solid fuel consumption and significant emissions of various pollutants. Resolving the issues of high solid fuel consumption and excessive pollutant emissions in sintering without compromising sinter quality, reducing sintering costs, has become a pressing concern in the steel industry. The sintering flue gas recirculation process is an economically viable technique that involves directly recycling a portion of sintering flue gas. This not only reduces the amount of waste gas per unit of sintering ore but also maximizes the utilization of flue gas heat and carbon monoxide latent heat. Combining the rich oxygen process with flue gas recirculation effectively addresses the insufficient effective oxygen issue in a single flue gas recirculation process.
This study employs a static process model of iron ore flue gas recirculation sintering to investigate and delineate the impact of parameters such as recirculation position, recirculation gas volume, recirculation coverage area in the flue gas recirculation process, and oxygen blowing position, oxygen concentration, rich oxygen coverage area in the rich oxygen process on the sintering process and pollutant emissions. The research findings serve as a theoretical and technical foundation for further advancements in integrated sintering processes.
