With the approval of the Chinese Society of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics, the 7th National Conference on Computational Mechanics of Granular Materials (CMGM-2024) in conjunction with the 4th International Symposium on Computational Particle Technology (CPT-2024) will be held in Nanjing, Jiangsu Province, China, from May 31st to June 3rd, 2024. CMGM-2024 & CPT-2024 will be hosted by Hohai University, the Panel of Computational Mechanics on Granular Materials of the Chinese Society of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics, Jiangsu Society of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics, and Granular Computing Committee of Chinese Society of Particuology (Preparatory), and organized by Hohai University, Monash University.
The theme of this conference will be “the Frontiers in Computational Mechanics and Engineering Technology of Granular Materials”. It will focus on the critical scientific and technical issues in mechanical theories and models, computational analysis and software development, engineering applications as well as related frontiers of granular materials. The conference provides an opportunity for both domestic and international researchers to exchange academic ideas about the challenges and the cutting-edge advances in the area. The conference is expected to be able to extract the promising research directions in granular mechanics, identify the fundamental issues, facilitate the progress in theoretical foundations, numerical methodologies, engineering applications, and interdisciplinary fusion in computational mechanics of granular materials.
